Girls and Boys team practices will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM. The first practice date is Thursday, Feb. 1. There are no Saturday practices scheduled. All practice dates are listed below.

First Practice of the 2024 Season!
With the combination of practice field closure and the CRPD's delay in designating United's 2024 spring practice field location, we have made the decision to postpone the start of team practices for one week until the week of 1/29.
United's first team practices are scheduled to begin on Thursday 2/1.
The weekly practice days will remain Tues/Thurs 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM.
As soon as CRPD designates United's practice field location we will share with all United parents, players and coaches.
2023 SCLA Jamboree Rescheduled
The SCLA Jamboree has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 5th. Due to inclement weather the City of Moorpark has closed Arroyo Vista Community Park fields this weekend, February 24th-26th.
Girls Team Practice Cancelled Thursday, February 23rd!
Today's (Thurs) United Girls teams practices at Valley View Park have also been cancelled due to weather concerns. United will continue to advise on any additional weather related scheduling updates.

(2/20/22) 2022 SEASON UPDATE
Please find below important information about Saturday’s SCLA Jamboree, and other United Lacrosse program information.
SCLA Jamboree:
o Where: Arroyo Vista Community Park - 4550 Tierra Rejada Rd, Moorpark, CA 93021
o When: Jamboree games begin at 8 AM and conclude at 5 PM. Past practice has been the SCLA schedules the younger division games earlier in the day.
o Game Schedule: SCLA announced the Jamboree game schedule will be published Monday 2/21. The schedule will be posted on the SCLA website. https://www.socallaxassoc.com/.
o Other: During the week, the SCLA will also post AV field maps, parking info, arrival times, and other helpful information for this Saturday’s Jamboree.

United Uniform Distribution:
o We plan to distribute uniforms at Valley View Park this Friday 2/25 from 3 PM – 5:30 PM. More information on player uniform distribution later this week. This season United Lax uniforms include “shooter shirts”!
Regular Season Team Practice Schedules:
o Boys 8U & 10U Teams – Effective week of March 7, Boys 8U and 10U teams will practice once a week onThursdays at 3:30 PM at Valley View Park. There are two weeks in April/May when 8U and 10U teams practice on Tues and Thurs. Additional practice dates will be posted in advance.
o Boys 12U Teams – Effective week of 2/28, Boys 12U practices will move to twice a week on Mon/Wed and practice time will be 6:15 PM -7:30 PM. The 12U practice location is planned for Valley View Park, however we are confirming Valley View permits with RSRPD. The alternative practice field location is Deerhill Park in Oak Park, a short distance from Valley View. Practice location will be confirmed in the next few days.
o Boys 14U Teams – Effective week of 2/28, Boys 14U team practices will be twice a week on Tues/Thurs at 3:30 PM at Valley View Park.
o Girls Elementary & Middle School Teams – Effective week of 2/28, Girls ES and MS teams practices will be twice a week on Tues/Thurs 5 PM at Valley View Park.
NOTE: All regular season practice schedules will be posted on the United Lax website once all team practices locations are finalized. We hope the information above is helpful for planning purposes.

o Jamboree – United Team Rosters: Coaches will inform players of their Jamboree roster assignment at this week’s team practices.
o Regular Season - United Team Rosters: Regular season team rosters are finalized and submitted to the SCLA following the Jamboree on Tuesday 3/1.

We need Team Parents! The “Team Parent” partners with coaches to manage team communications and logistics. Please see below for more information and email unitedyouthlax@gmail.com if you can help.
· Update TeamSnap and ensure all parents download the Teamsnap App.
· Maintain a Team Roster with player and parent contact info.
· Send emails updating team activities, game, and practice schedules.
· Recruit volunteer parent scorekeeper/timekeeper/field commissioner for games.
· General admin support allowing Coaches to focus on player and team development.

This season (Spring 2022) the Southern California Lacrosse Association is strongly recommending that Boys players wear new shoulder pads in accordance with NOCSAE Standard ND200.

(11/1/21) IMPORTANT: EQUIPMENT NOTIFICATION
This season USA Lacrosse and the SCLA will require Boys players to wear shoulder pads that meet new NOCSAE Standard ND200. This is a mandatory player safety requirement.

(4/28/21) United Lacrosse Practice Location Update: During the month of May the Valley View Soccer Field is closed for refurbishment and the Valley View Ball Field (softball) is not available.

(3/6/21) SCLA Season Update: The SCLA has confirmed that we will move forward with a season!
Please note: Costs associated with playing games are still being determined. We'll likely need to increase player registration costs to cover these expenses. We'll let you know as soon as possible.
(2/26/21) SCLA Season Update: The SCLA Board plans to convene on March 2nd to discuss the status of the 2021 season which is still pending. In the event SCLA Boys and Girls inter-team competition can resume, United Lacrosse teams will participate.
If there is an SCLA season, we may require a supplementary registration fee to fund our SCLA registration fees.
